Hi I'm Jesse,

Ranch Wife l Mother of Three l Beyond the Fencelines Founder

Born and raised a farmer’s daughter and now living my dream as the rancher’s wife and mother of 3, I’ve been living the rural life for a little while now. However, I’ll be the first to tell you it isn’t always easy, and I hardly ever get it right.

In between ranching and chasing kids, I love coffee, gardening, quilting, church, homesteading, continued education, droning, writing, and storytelling, which is why this site is so dear to me.

My love of the ranch and my desire for authentic connection with other rural women built this site. With a few gentle nudges from God, it is my dream to bring rural women together.

I hope you’ll join me and all of the rural women featured on this site as we share our stories of rural living and make our voices heard. Grab a cup of your favorite beverage, settle in, and let’s get acquainted.

Our Mission

Our mission is your story. We hope to be a small part of sharing it.

It is our mission to bring rural women together and make our lives feel less lonely, less isolated, and more connected. We hope to celebrate rural women from all walks of life and share the lessons they have learned and the life they have lived.

Here you will find honest, vulnerable, and relatable stories, but most importantly we hope you will take the time to share your story. You never know who will be reading who needs to hear your words.

Let's go beyond the fencelines of your farm and ranch and create a community, together.

Meet Our Writers

Our writers are all rural women who understand exactly what long days and time alone can feel like. They too cook for crews, balance kids, and enjoy the time outside with their husbands when possible.

They are honest, vulnerable, and relatable women whom we look up to and admire for their stories and their time.
